This Is Not a Government or Law Enforcement Office. We run a private reference site. We cannot confirm whether a warrant exists, recall or clear a warrant, post bond, arrange a surrender, or give legal advice. For any of those, contact the issuing court or the Benzie County Sheriff's Office directly.
Need Official Warrant Information?
Here is where the questions most Benzie County readers ask actually belong:
- A district case or a traffic matter: the 85th District Court at 448 Court Place in Beulah handles misdemeanors, traffic and municipal civil infractions, small claims, and preliminary felony proceedings. Its number is 231-882-0019, and its offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., except major holidays.
- A felony, family, or support file: the County Clerk is the Clerk of the Circuit Court and keeps those records at 448 Court Place, Suite 200, in Beulah. The clerk's circuit records line is 231-882-9671 ext. 2, and the Friend of Court can be reached at 231-882-0023.
- Service, custody, or an agency question: the Benzie County Sheriff's Office is at 505 S Michigan Avenue in Beulah, and its non-emergency number is 231-882-4484. Public business hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. Call 911 for an emergency.
- A copy of a record: law enforcement records go through the Sheriff's FOIA coordinator at LEvans@Benzieco.Gov or 231-882-4484 ext. 231. Other county records go to FOIA@Benzieco.Gov or 231-882-0558. A written request is required, and it should describe the record and the date range clearly.
Before a visit or a payment, call the office and confirm the procedure. Court staff answer questions about process and forms, and they cannot give legal advice. For advice about a specific case, an appearance, or a bond, talk to a licensed Michigan attorney.
