Why We Built This Site
Michigan opens a good deal of court and county information to the public, but no one office holds the whole picture. A warrant begins with a judge or magistrate. The clerk of the court that issued it keeps the case file. The Sheriff's Office is the agency that serves it, and the county jail handles custody when someone is held. A missed court date can add a bench warrant in a case that already exists, which keeps the file with the court where the date was missed rather than with a central county list.
Michigan also has no statewide public warrant search. MiCOURT shows case records, and its own pages say the information is not the official record and that some case types stay out of view. A reader can check one place, find nothing, and draw the wrong conclusion. This site puts the court, clerk, Sheriff, and records request contacts in one place so that a check starts with the office that actually holds the answer.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site. It has no connection to any Michigan court, the Benzie County Sheriff's Office, or any state agency. The limits matter:
- We cannot run an official check or confirm that a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept a payment toward a warrant
- We cannot set up a surrender, a court date, or a walk-in visit
- We cannot give legal advice or say how a warrant applies to a situation
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address here is current today
Only the court that issued a warrant or the agency that holds it can confirm whether it exists and whether it has been recalled or served. This site can point you to that office, and the answer has to come from the office itself.
Search Partners
Some pages carry a search box run by an outside company. Those providers set their own prices and run their own services, and a paid signup through one of them may earn this site a referral fee. That revenue keeps the site free to read. The partner tools are not an official warrant check, and their results come with their own limits.
